Dr. Kristin took on the Clear Change Detox Program and documented her journey to share it with all of you! Here’s a peek into what she ate during her detox:
Day-to-Day Recipes from Dr. Kristin
A refreshing salad packed with nutrients:
-baby spring mix
- Italian pepperoncinis
- kalamata olives
- hummus
- garbanzo beans
- cucumbers
- 1/2 avocado
All organic, if possible. Mix together and toss with olive oil and vinegar dressing.
- Omit pepperoncinis, olives, hummus, and cucumbers days 5-7
From the Clear Change Program Guide, with 1.5 cups chopped cauliflower added for extra vegetables.
White Fish (Lake Superior)
Drizzle olive oil over fillet. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika to taste. Mix in a bowl to coat fish fillets. Place on a baking sheet (with olive oil or lined with silicone baking mat) and bake at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, depending on thickness of fillets.
Riced Cauliflower
- 1 head cauliflower (organic)
- 1 medium onion
- 2-3 tablespoons minced garlic
- coconut oil
- salt, pepper, Italian seasoning (or any other to alter flavor profile)
Use a food processor to rice cauliflower (or buy already riced). Dice onion and cook it with garlic and coconut oil in a pan. Add in riced cauliflower and seasonings to taste.
We often use the cauliflower rice as a base and add in other vegetables, proteins, and seasonings to alter the dish, but it also tastes great by itself.
- organic baby spring mix
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 cup steamed or roasted broccoli
- baked Salmon
Toss all ingredients with olive oil and vinegar dressing.
Baked Salmon (wild caught)
Place on a baking mat on a pan and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt, lemon pepper, and dill to taste. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of fillets.
- 1 medium yellow onion
- minced garlic (2-4 tablespoons depending on your love of garlic)
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1 small head green cabbage
- 1 small head red cabbage
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- salt to taste
- white pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
- ginger (1 teaspoon)
- Thai chili paste (1-3 tablespoons depending on spice level)
- coconut oil
- 4 tablespoons coconut aminos
- 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
- sesame seeds (optional)
Shred cabbage using food processor (or buy coleslaw mix-probably 2 bags). Cook yellow onion and garlic in pan with oil for a couple minutes until fragrant. Add cabbage, water chestnuts, seasoning, chili paste, vinegar, and aminos and cook for another 5-7 minutes. Top with green onion and sesame seeds if desired.
Turkey Burgers
- Combine organic ground turkey, 1/2 diced medium yellow onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (all to taste) and mix together in a bowl. - Form into patties and place on a baking sheet in a 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes.
- Omit water chestnuts days 5-7. Substitute turkey burgers with fish days 3-8.
This is a favorite in our house! Easy to add in any ground meat if you dont want the extra effort to make burgers.
- 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts
- half of a medium onion
- everything bagel seasoning (to taste)
- garlic power (to taste)
- salt and pepper (to taste if desired)
- olive or coconut oil
Shred brussels sprouts using a food processor. Add about 2 tablespoons of oil and onion to pan. Cook for a couple minutes. Add Brussels sprouts and garlic powder and cook for another additional 7-10 minutes until done to your liking. Top with everything bagel seasoning. Enjoy with avocado for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
